Flöss was founded in Copenhagen in 2020 by Sisse Laigaard. The brand draws inspiration from children's curiosity and the small moments of childhood, creating clothes designed to be worn, played in and lived in.

Original prints, delicate embroidery and distinctive colour combinations characterise the collections. Gingham is the small, regular check pattern featured on many of the brand's styles. Strawberries are another recognisable detail, appearing as both prints and embroidery. The overall look is nostalgic, while the fits and combinations suit a relaxed children's wardrobe.

How does Flöss fit?

When choosing a Flöss size, your child's height is a good starting point. Flöss states that the size number generally corresponds to the child's height in centimetres. If your child is approximately 92 cm tall, size 92 is therefore a natural place to start.

Age recommendations are only a guide, as children of the same age can vary in both height and build. Choose primarily according to height and use the age recommendation as additional guidance.

Sizing may vary between individual designs, and not every style is available in the full size range. Check the available sizes on the product you have selected.

Should I choose a larger size?

Use your child's current height and the fit of the garment as your starting point. If your child is between two sizes, the larger size may be suitable if you would like some room for growth. The clothing should still fit properly, so sleeves or trouser legs do not get in the way during play.

Also check the product description: a loose-fitting dress and a pair of close-fitting leggings will fit differently, even if they have the same size number.

What materials does Flöss use?

Materials vary from product to product. Flöss uses materials including cotton and organic cotton, while some styles contain elastane to give the fabric additional stretch.

For example, the Flye Leggings in the colour Corn are listed as 89% organic cotton and 11% elastane, while the Ellis Dress in Coffee Gingham is listed as 100% cotton. It is therefore a good idea to check the material composition of each product if you are looking for organic cotton or prefer clothing without elastane.

Flöss for babies - bodysuits, leggings and soft sets

The Flöss baby collection includes bodysuits, leggings and all-in-one suits. The baby clothing starts at size 56 cm, although the available size range depends on the individual style.

How do you wash Flöss clothing?

Always follow the care instructions inside the individual garment. Different materials, knitwear, prints and embroidery may require different care, so there is no single washing temperature suitable for the entire Flöss range.

As a general guideline, wash similar colours together and turn garments with prints or embroidery inside out. Check the care label before tumble-drying. For knitwear, follow the drying instructions carefully to help the garment retain its shape.

Shoes and growth allowance

Growth allowance: approx. 1.5 cm for regular shoes.
Growth allowance: approx. 1.0 cm for ballerina or first-walker shoes.

Example: If the foot measures 15.0 cm, choose a shoe with an inner length of approx. 16.5 cm.

Socks and tights

Socks and tights may shrink slightly in the wash - choose one size up if in doubt.
